Curly Hair Routine

  • Wash: if you wash your hair often, alternate wash days between prescribed lathering cleanser & non-lathering cleanser. If you wash once a week, use your prescribed lathering cleanser and wash twice for the best results.

  • Condition: with your prescribed conditioner, detangle starting at your ends and work your way up. Once detangled, set your part, rake through, and squish to condish. To rinse, scrunch out the conditioner by adding a little water at a time while scrunching your curls, allowing water & condition to marry.

Product Application: It's time to start styling while your hair is still wet (you can hear a squish). Section, rake, and finger coil if necessary.

  • Prep: for best results, scrunch in at least one of the following: leave-in conditioner, curl activator spray, or frizz control spray if desired.

  • Style: coat each curl with your prescribed styler (cream, foam, or gel), rake & scrunch from ends to the scalp to trap hydration, enhance your curls & create hold.

  • Dry: When you have finished applying your stylers and your curls look how you want them, it’s time to dry. Defuse if you want more volume and tighter curls. Airdry if you want minimal volume and elongated curls.

  • Finish: once fully dry, scrunch the crunch and shake out your curls clumps. Now you can leave it or add the finishing touches, such as a bit of hairspray for uncontrollable flyaways, water-based oil to smooth ends and shine, or a volumizer for added volume.
